HEAL WRITE
I write to heal trauma.
My healing journey began
after a cancer diagnosis
and continues each day.
It's an exercise in loving self-care.
Namaste.
Note: I chose this as my first poem because these words embody why I write.

MANIFESTO OF HOPE
I want to make myself
tiny as a speck of dust
and visit every person
filled with despair
and sprinkle them
with hope seeds of…
sowing
strength
courage
understanding
seeds
growing
hope
I want you to know
this too will pass
and in its place
light shines again
as the darkness fades.
Note: This poem started as a note to myself and grew into a poem of hope.

DEEP INTO WORDS
Remember to re-member
arriving back together in tandem
Disease to dis-ease
disturbing a healthy essence
Sister to see-star
a guiding light through life
Intimacy to in-to-me-see
beholding lovingly the soul
Coincidence to co-inside-dance
noting nothing happens by chance
Note: I love exploring words in different ways.

LOVE POEM
Let it be
a moment
of remembering
how our lives upgraded
to first class
on a non-stop flight
to paradise
that May Day
looks exchanged
needs met
love language
understood
all ways and always
to have
to hold
from
that
day
forward
hearts kissed
souls sang
bond forged
Note: I wrote this for my partner who brings much love and joy into my life.
~
WABI-SABI
abounding
beauty
mending
cracked cup
glowing incense
smoldering
drinking tea
simmering
spicy herbs
savoring
simply
being
Note: This is a simple poem about being in the moment.

PRAYER POEM
To whom this poem is a prayer,
may it bring back joyful memories
of the day in the sprinklers;
refreshing relief in the cold drops,
water forgiving,
cleansing and clearing
original sin,
or so I’ve been told
on this hot summer day.
Note: My hope is that this poem brings comfort to whoever reads it. Namaste.
