SOMBER THOUGHTS
Quiet thoughts,
somber moods.
High elevation,
my ears pop-
leaving me with
the clarity of
beauty around me.

ACORN LANE
We were eating candy apples
on Acorn Lane,
getting cozy in the orchard,
during a sunglow harvest.
We were feeling fall,
In the pumpkin patch,
during a hayride.
TIME CAPSULE
The time capsule travels on its own,
Through clouds to another place.
The buckle on my seat
Is secured,
As I travel on this journey.
PANDEMIC REFLECTIONS
Behind my house is a cliff,
overlooking a forest.
My meditations there each day
are calming to my soul.
The valley below is serene,
with nature’s beauty surrounding me.
You can see for miles around.
Fragile feelings are exposed
as I write in my journal,
trying to distance myself
from the world’s chaos.
STOLEN MOMENTS
On a hill overlooking the city-
Lights below were translucent.
Travelers were escaping
On a journey through time and space.
These were moments of quiet reflection.
ABOUT THE POEMS: "Most of the poems are about being serene and calm in the world we live in. These poems have helped me in my daily struggles to find peace in the world."
